Anthony Bridgerton: ENTJ

Anthony is highly driven and focused on success, evident in his determination to fulfill his duties as the Viscount (you totally could have been a Viscount). He is assertive and takes charge, especially in his role as the head of the Bridgerton family, which reflects the natural leadership qualities of an ENTJ.  These traits, along with his ability to  navigate society’s expectations effortlessly and his off-the-charts charisma (who knew rizz was SUCH a thing in the Regency era?) make him a classic ENTJ, one of the more charming of the 16 personality types.

Anthony is strategic and goal-oriented. He takes a ruthless approach to finding a suitable wife and managing family affairs, can be very stubborn, and has high standards for himself and others. He is not afraid of confrontation and will stand up for his beliefs and his family, demonstrating the ENTJ's strong-willed nature. ENTJ personalities can be demanding and commanding partners, with high expectations for their objects of affection, as we see in his sparring with Kate. We will leave you with this quotable evidence: “You are the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires.”

 Eloise Bridgerton: ENTP

Eloise loves to challenge ideas and often questions societal norms and the status quo, which is typical of an ENTP. Like you, she is curious and perceptive, always seeking new knowledge and understanding of her friends as well as about the world beyond her immediate experience.

Eloise is quick-witted and enjoys intellectual debates, a common trait among the ENTP Visionary personality. She thinks outside the box - just look at her many inspired investigations into Lady Whistledown's true identity. This lady also values her independence and autonomy. ENTPs are non-conformists at the core, often clashing with the conventional expectations. For Eloise, we see that in her defiance of gender expectations of her time.

As an INTP like Benedict, you are independent and non-conformist. You may not be in pursuit of a life beyond the expectations of your noble birth, but you are definitely  open minded – INTPs prefer abstract thinking over day-to-day details. You  also value intellectual pursuits. With Benedict, you can see this in how detached he can be from the more practical concerns of his family.

Colin Bridgerton: ESFP

Like you, Simon is kind of a bad-ass: assertive and decisive, quick to take control of situations and to stand up for himself, as seen in his boxing and negotiations. Simon is strategic and plans meticulously, especially when it comes to navigating the social landscape of the town, which is indicative of the INTJ's forward-thinking.

He is independent and confident in his abilities, often preferring to work alone, a common trait among the INTJ Mastermind personality type. His clear vision for his future (he is determined not to have an heir) shows off the INTJ's strong will and decisiveness. Simon is also innovative in his quest to avoid marriage and societal expectations. INTJs do not always get credit for their creativity, but it is on full show in Simon Basset.

Penelope Featherington: INFP

Penelope is a classic INFP. She’s idealistic and empathetic, cares deeply for her friends, and yearns for a more just society. Like all  INFPs, she is introspective and, despite her deceptions, does value authenticity, which we see when she chooses to write as Lady Whistledown to express her true thoughts and feelings.

Penelope is sensitive and reserved. She prefers to observe rather than be at the center of attention, a trait common in the INFP Healer personality type. She has a rich inner life and is imaginative. This fuels her ability to create the persona of Lady Whistledown and captivate the audience with her writing.

Like you, Kate is responsible and dutiful, often putting her family's needs above her own. She shows a strong sense of duty towards her younger sister, Edwina, ensuring she makes a good match in society. Like many ISTJs, she pays close attention to detail, which is evident in her planning and managing of Edwina's debut into society.

Kate often upholds traditional values and is seen as serious and reserved, especially in social settings – both ISTJ traits. A plain speaker, she is also not afraid to say what’s on her mind or stand up for what she believes is right, even if it means clashing with others, such as Anthony Bridgerton.

Daphne Bridgerton: ISFJ

Daphne has the nurturing nature of an ISFJ, when looked at through the lens of the 16 Myers and Briggs personality types.
