Reviews of The TypeFinder® Personality Test

I found the results to be very consistent with results I have received for the last 30+ years. The full report provided more insight into some personality aspects and it gave me an 'a-ha' moment. A couple of the personality traits didn't completely reflect me accurately, or at least how I perceive myself. This may have been due to some of the questions that caused me to pause and ask 'what does this mean?'. For example, the appreciating art question, like what kind of art??? Because I love traditional art, like classic paintings, and ancient architecture, but I do not consider movies, television, or contemporary music to be art. So, how to answer the question became a tad complicated. Apart from that, I think this report is very useful in understanding myself and will even help me work to be a better person in areas that could use improving in my life.

This is an excellent breakdown of one's personality types from in depth details related to 16 personality types but also adding how facets of certain styles are useful to be cognizant of in addition to guidance of where your career could potentially be an excellent idea going forward. Its a great summary report with all the necessary details for someone to use effectively and improve their knowledge of personality traits they may not have known prior to the test. That's important.

I have read my MBTI results and I agree with most of it. I do love the in-depth discussion of my report, as it provides a more balanced explanation.

I just re-took this test after 30 years and I am so glad that I did! I am now in my late 50’s and my life has, unfortunately, changed dramatically in the last 6 years due to acquiring Long Covid. I am currently much more sedentary, solitary and seemingly less motivated than I have been in the past. I have been forced to slow down in so many ways, that I’ve been wondering if my basic personality had changed as I’ve aged. Now, after retaking the Myers-Briggs, I know that it hasn’t: I am still an ENFP as I was before. This is very reassuring to me. Since no medical tests indicate that I’m actually ill, I often question whether I’ve simply lost everything about myself that allowed me to succeed and thrive in my life. But taking the test has reminded me that I am the same person that I always was. I was grateful for this test in my 20’s for giving me insight into my personality and habits, thereby giving me confidence in myself, my performance, my career choices and instincts. Now, I’m grateful to this test for reminding me that I am still me!

Interesting to retake after years, there are subtle changes, which I take as a sign of preferences changing over time. We are not static beings. The descriptions resonate with me and seem consistent. I enjoyed the analysis of how others might describe me- useful professionally as the most challenging question to answer is "describe yourself."
